"More than 40 camps abandoned by the army are also occupied"
The Arakan Army (AA) was able to occupy four (4) border guard camps and
over (40) camps abandoned by the military council within 10 days of the 1027
operation in the Rakhine province, the AA announced.
In the evening of November 22nd, AA issued a press statement.
The following military bases could be offensively taken by AA: Dom Pike Border Guard Station in Rathedaung Township, taken on the first day of the operation, November 13. On November 14, the "Chang Khali" border guard camp was taken on the second day. The "Dom Nyo" border patrol camp in Maungdaw north close to Bangladesh border was captured on November 17, and the "Kha Hla" camp located at northern part of Buthidaung Township was captured on November 21, according to the statement.
"In addition, from November 14th till today, the AA has been attacking
the junta's two strongholds in Paletwa Township, "Taroai military
strategic " and "Nongbu military strategic ". "Today marks
the ninth day of the offensive against these two strategies, and the fighting
continues," it stated.
The enemy was also air-dropping the two strategy camps, according to AA,
and part of the enemy's air support equipment was taken by AA yesterday.
On November 21, about 100 individuals, including monks, pregnant women, and
children in the town of Pauk Taw, who were seized as hostages as human shields
by the junta army, were rescued.
During the effort to rescue the kidnapped civilian, Amy utilized Mi 35 and
jet fighters, but AA saved them in the end.
The jet aircraft pounded Pauk Taw three times at 12:05 (05) in the
afternoon on November 22, attacking the Pagoda Hill of Lawka Hteit Pan for
roughly 20 minutes each time.
Furthermore, for an hour beginning at 12:15 p.m. on November 21, the AA and
LIB (367) junta battalions clashed in three road checkpoints of Kyat Thon Khun
village in Hti Ching Township of Sagaing division upper Burma proper.
According to AA, it will continue to attack military camps that have
committed human rights violations and other crimes against humanity, as well as
soldiers who have not surrendered their weapons to AA.
