Junta Airstrikes on Hpar Wut Chaung Village in Maungdaw Town Kill Five, Including Three Women

Overnight airstrikes were carried out by the junta's air force on Hpar Wut Chaung hamlet, which is located in northern Maungdaw Township on the western border of Arakan State with Bangladesh.

 

 Five people, including three ladies, lost their lives as a result of the attacks, while about 14 others were hurt.

 

Among the victims were Ko Maung Maung Thein, 20, Daw Hla Hla Aye, 58; Ma Thida, 26; and Ko Nay Zaw Oo, 29.

 

 

"Today at two in the morning, the junta launched airstrikes while everyone was fast asleep. Forteen more individuals were hurt in addition to five fatalities," a villager reported.

 

Four residences were also damaged, as well as an automobile and an autorickshaw.

 

The junta is continuing to bomb residential towns in the Arakan State using jets, resulting in an increasing number of civilian casualties every day.
