Burmese Americans Protest Outside Chinese Embassy in Washington Against Beijing's Interference in Myanmar

Narinjara News , 26 October 2024

A group of Burmese-Americans demonstrated in front of the Chinese Embassy in Washington, DC, to voice their disapproval of China's backing for the terrorist military junta and its meddling in Myanmar's internal affairs.

On October 24 at 3:00 p.m. local time, Myanmar citizens residing in the United States spearheaded the protest.

Protesters demanded that Beijing listen to the people's views, stop providing fighter jets and armaments, and stop supporting the military regime.

They also called for stopping the sale of drones to the military junta.

Sources in the area claim that the terrorist Myanmar military junta has increased its airstrikes across the nation, especially in Arakan State, after receiving aid from China to purchase fighter jets and drones.

Together with the military junta, the Chinese government is extracting natural gas from Arakan State and delivering it to China via pipelines for natural gas and oil. Critics counter that Beijing has disregarded the Arakan region's advantages.

Additionally, according to regional reports, China is suspected of complicity in the murders of the Arakan people since it sells drones and fighter jets to the military junta, which is funded by natural gas sales.
