The chairman of Kyauk Pru township rural development Association Maung Aye with two other youths were produced in the Kyauk Pru township court on Thursday and it was for the 13th time, he was taken to the court for hearing.
The township court judge sets 24 June as the next hearing, said a family member.
Maung Aye with Tun Tha Pru and Zaw Win Maung were arrested by the Burma army intelligence (Sarafa) from Lake Kha Maw village under Kyauk Pru township on 21 January last with the accusation of being involved with the outlawed Arakan Army. All three individuals were picked up under the unlawful association acts (section 17-1 & 17-2).
“It was for the thirteenth time, they were producing in the court, but no verdict has been pronounced. I expect the final order by next few weeks. Except one witness, all others were already examined. So we expect an order soon,” said U Tin Myint, assigned lawyer for the three accused individuals.
The accused Maung Aye hails from Kyauk Pru township, where as Tun Tha Pru hails from Pauk Taw township and Zaw Win Maung from Ponna Kyunt township in the western province of Burma.
