Authorities from the junta are reportedly looking into 10 owners of gold shops, rice mills, oil mills, and bean mills in Nga Thaing Chaung, located in Ye Kyi Township, Ayeyarwady Region.
An insider revealed, "They were called in for interrogation on the night of the 22nd. They consist of approximately 10 entrepreneurs from gold shops, rice mills, oil mills, and bean mills. It's not feasible to disclose their identities right now."
He mentioned that they are being called in for questioning due to suspicions of helping AA and PDF.
"I've heard they are under investigation for their connections and support to AA and PDF organizations. They have not come back home yet. The troops and intelligence personnel are patrolling the town," he stated.
At present, security at the Yenangyaung Gate is strict, and a search operation is in progress.
The arrests could not be independently verified as the Nga Thaing Chaung Township Administrator and the police station were unreachable.
Recent reports today suggest that the junta air force is targeting Pan Taw Gyi in Lay Myat Nar Township and the adjacent Rakhine Yoma Mountains, which are held by the Arakan Army and its partner forces.
