In Maungdaw Township, the terrorist group ARSA killed four Khami individuals, who were reportedly labeled as AA members by ARSA. However, their families assert that they were not affiliated with AA but rather Khami villagers.

U Kyaw Thar Oo, the father of Maung Thar Aye Kyaw, who died in Guppi (Khami) village, stated, "While viewing the ARSA video, I noticed individuals in bulletproof vests claiming to be AA members. Individuals unaware of the truth might have believed they were members of AA. Upon closer inspection, I identified my son Maung Thar Aye Kyaw in the video recording."

On April 4, the ARSA terrorist group published a video online lasting over 2 minutes, showing a confrontation with AA and the arrest of four AA members.

"The video footage depicted ARSA and AA engaged in combat, with ARSA asserting in the video that they had captured four AA members during the skirmish, alleging they were AA members," U Kyaw Tha U said.

The situation is unique as they are Khami men dressed in military gear.

A military observer in Maungdaw stated, "The video they posted online depicted a significant conflict between ARSA and AA. Eventually, they presented four civilians dressed in gear and acting as if they were apprehended AA members. In reality, all four were Khami civilians unrelated to AA."

Approximately five days following the murder of the four Khmer men, the ARSA terrorist group published this video clip.

The ARSA terrorist group killed four Khami men: U Maung Ba (41) from Obru (Khami) Sha in Buthidaung Township, Maung Thar Aye Kyaw (17), who lived in Guppi (Khami) village, Ko Maung Gyi (25) from Aung Gandaru (Khami) village, and Ko Aung Myint Htun (19) from Myawaddy (Khami) village in Maungdaw Township.

The four were kidnapped by ARSA militants on March 29 as they were traveling from Myawaddy village in Maungdaw Township to Aung Gandaru village.

One day following their capture by ARSA, villagers discovered their bodies on March 30, bearing gunshot wounds, at the base of Mayu Mountain, along the Maungdaw-Buthidaung Taung Kyaw Road.

On March 31, villagers reportedly cremated the bodies of the four.
