Although thousands of Burmese individuals have died in the earthquake, the military junta has conducted yet another airstrike in Mrauk-U, the historic city in Rakhine State, resulting in the death of one civilian.

At approximately 10 pm on March 31, a military regime jet fighter released a bomb close to the old No. 31 Police Battalion, causing it to detonate in four different locations.

In the assault, U Aung Kyaw Zan (66), a resident of Middle Market Ward, Mrauk-U Town, was killed instantly due to serious injuries.

A resident of Mrauk-U reported that a military jet dropped a bomb that detonated in four locations. U Aung Kyaw Zan was strolling along the path in front of his residence. He was struck on the head and his skull was partially fractured.

The no. 31 Police Battalion is located close to the Kothaung Pagoda on the periphery of Mrauk-U Town, which is held and managed by the Arakan Army (AA).

On March 31, at approximately 9 am, a military council navy ship fired three artillery shells at Wa Nak Chaing village in Kyaukphyu Township, causing the deaths of a monk and a civilian and injuring seven people, including the senior abbot and a novice monk.

As Myanmar mourns the earthquake, the military junta persists in warfare and continues to target numerous ethnic regions with bombings.
