The Arakan Army (AA) initiated simultaneous attacks on at least five military camps in Sittwe Township, Arakan State.

A primary source informed Narinjara News that the camps under focus encompassed locations in Wah Bo village and nearby areas like Kyar Ma Thauk, Ah Myint Kyun, Par Da Leik, and Yae Chan Pyin.

"On February 11, approximately at 9:00 pm, the AA initiated simultaneous attacks on the junta camps and checkpoints located in the villages. The noise of gunshots was intense as both sides fired at each other," the source stated.

The source reported that shelling exchanges persisted until the morning of February 12. Junta battalions located in Sittwe and navy ships navigating the river near Sittwe were reportedly persistently shelling adjacent villages where the combat was occurring.

"This morning, they continued their shelling, with the junta forces increasing their fire," the source stated.

A military source in the area informed Narinjara News that numerous soldiers from the junta sustained injuries during the conflict and were taken by vehicle to a military hospital.

"They are being taken by vehicle to the military hospital located on Yae Chan Pyin Road. We are unsure of the precise count of wounded junta soldiers," the source stated.

Starting from the night of February 7, the Arakan Army (AA) has been launching artillery shells at junta battalions and camps located in Sittwe, leading to exchanges of fire.

Following a short break in the conflict, the AA launched attacks on multiple junta camps and checkpoints on February 11.
