CDM Captain Zin Yaw informed Narinjara News that should the Arakan Army (AA), equipped with long-range artillery, capture the Nat Yae Kan tactical operation command along the Ann-Padan road, it may pose a risk to the junta's arms production facilities (KaPaSa).

Captain Zin Yaw stated that the AA is presently assaulting the Nat Yae Kan camp to seize control of the Padan-Ann route. If the AA is successful, it may enlarge its area.

"The AA possesses long-range artillery. If they manage to seize Nat Yae Kan, they will have the ability to intimidate KaPaSa-14 and the 905th Artillery Battalion. From that point, they can proceed straight to the Padan junction through Nat Yae Kan and broaden their influence over the Pathein-Monywa road. This would place the Padan cantonment in a defensible spot, akin to Taung Hkam," he stated.

Captain Zin Yaw added that the AA has seized long-range artillery, howitzers, and tanks from the junta troops. He views the current offensive in Magway, Bago, and Ayeyarwady Regions as a favorable progression for the revolution.

"Nat Yae Kan is located in the Magway Region, and the AA has the ability to seize this camp. If they proceed, they might threaten the KaPaSa factories. The AA's approach regarding Nat Yae Kan is promising,” he stated.

The AA is escalating its assaults on the Nat Yae Kan tactical command and simultaneously seizing junta positions along the Ann-Padan road.

The Nat Yae Kan camp, situated on the Arakan-Magway border, holds considerable strategic significance.

CDM Captain Zin Yaw forecasted that the AA might threaten the Magway Region and expand its influence towards the Pathein-Monywa road.

"I think the AA might pose a threat to Minbu city, located near Magway. If they seize Nat Yae Kan, they can employ artillery to intimidate junta troops. This would enable the AA and allied forces to dominate the entire Padan-Ann road. Nonetheless, following Nat Yae Kan, there lies Tone Gyi, where it will be necessary to seize multiple camps, including Division 99, which is presently stationed with around seven battalions. I believe they will need to speed up their efforts," he remarked.

The AA maintained its attack on the Nat Yae Kan tactical checkpoint following its takeover of the junta's Kan Myint Kan camp, which oversees a Chinese pipeline in the Arakan mountains, on January 22.

Moreover, the AA took control of the Kyet Yae San and Pain Yae San camps in the Arakan mountains on January 20 and is still seizing camps in the area.

The AA reported that it seized arms, ammunition, and military equipment, took prisoners of war, and retrieved enemy corpses from clashes near Ka Myin Kan (Kan Myint Kan), Pain Yae San, and Kyet Yae San villages in Ann Township from January 13 to 19.

"It's promising that they have attained this level because of their partnership with the AA and collaborative efforts. Their progress to the Magway-Minbu and Pathein-Monywa roads is truly promising,” stated CDM Captain Zin Yaw.

The Nat Yae Kan tactical operation command, being assaulted by the AA, is situated over 50 miles away from Ann Town in the Arakan mountains. The joint resistance forces led by the AA have been carrying out attacks in the region since January 24.

After the AA seizes control of the Nat Yae Kan tactical operation command, it may move forward to the towns of Padan and Ngape, along with the junta's KaPaSa factories. In reply, the junta is vigorously defending its positions, mainly employing airstrikes.
