The Arakan Army (AA) completely seized the Moe Hti Taung camp, a military camp in the Arakan mountains of Taungup Township, at 11:10 am on January 26, 2025, as reported in a statement by the AA's News and Information on January 27, 2025.
The AA initiated a vigorous attack on the Moe Hti Taung camp at 6:30 am on January 21, 2025, successfully taking control of it five days afterward.
In the conflict, military equipment and ammunition were taken from the junta, and multiple bodies were retrieved.
Moreover, the AA completely seized the Point-263 camp located on the Ayeyarwady-Arakan border in the Ayeyarwady Region at 2:28 pm on January 26, 2025.
The announcement also noted that the Point-369 camp was seized at 5:50 pm on January 21, 2025.
The report also indicated that the combat continued to be fierce as the junta initiated an assault on the AA-controlled Point-263 camp at 1:38 pm on January 27, backed by airstrikes and artillery fire.
On that same day, a confrontation erupted between the 419th and 14th light infantry battalions of the junta's 99th light infantry division and the AA on the Ann-Padan road close to Goke See Yoe village in Ngape Township, Magway Region. The confrontation continued for roughly thirty minutes.
Unable to endure the AA's counteroffensive, the junta troops were compelled to withdraw toward Goke See Yoe village.
AA troops pursued the withdrawing enemy, seizing extra personnel along with arms and munitions.
In the meantime, regular exchanges of shelling, sniper fire, and drone strikes have occurred between both sides near Sittwe.
