A group of Myanmar artists in the United States held a protest demonstration against Beiing’s interference in Myanmar's internal affairs outside the Chinese embassy in Washington DC, at around 2 pm on 3 January.

Ko Lin Htet, a singer and lyricist, who always stands with the people of Myanmar, revealed that the protest was aimed at urging the Chinese government to stop interfering in Myanmar’s political matters.

"We staged the protest demanding changes to China’s flawed policies in Myanmar’s politics and also to oppose China's dominance and interference in the  political affairs of Myanmar," he added.

The protest took place despite heavy snow showers in the capital city. The participating artists include singers Yan Yan Chan, Leo, Kyaw Thi Ha, Htet Aung Shine, and Ko Lin Htet.

Even though the snow showers began, the rally continued without a pause.
