17 junta soldiers captured by CDF-Asho after attacks on 2 military columns fleeing Western Command

On 28 December, the Chinaland Defense Force-Asho (CDF-Asho) attacked two military columns fleeing from the Western Command in Ann township of Arakan State and captured 17 junta soldiers, said a CDF-Asho statement.

CDF-Asho intercepted two military columns, totaling around 90 soldiers, who fled after the Arakan Army (AA) could capture the Western Command based in Ann locality.

The statement also added that a large volume of arms and ammunition were seized from the possession of junta soldiers. Some junta soldiers surrendered, but many others abandoned their columns and fled in disarray.

It also stated that CDF-Asho captured 17 junta soldiers within three days of pursuing the fleeing soldiers.

From 25 to 27 December, a large volume of arms, ammunition and military equipment was seized from the defected junta soldiers and who were captured by the fighters.

The military affairs office of CDF-Asho  confirmed that their fighters will continue searching for the remaining junta soldiers, who escaped,  and will also update further details.
