The Chin Brotherhood announced on December 20 that 123 junta troops and police officers from both the Mindat district and township police compound in Chin State, together with their families, surrendered on December 15, 2024. 

On November 9, 2024, the Chin Brotherhood, alongside allied forces, launched Operation Chin Brotherhood (Operation CB), aimed at seizing towns in Mindat Town and Falam Township. 

Throughout the operation, the Chin Brotherhood seized San Min Thiri Pagoda Hill, the staff residential area (San Pya Ward), the district construction site, the Tower Hill Hotel (Mindat), Mya Lay Pwint Pagoda Hill, and 4-Mile Hill. 

The Chin Brotherhood continues its assault on the remaining police stations in Mindat District and Township, alongside the 274th Infantry Battalion. As per the statement from the Chin Brotherhood, the 123 members of the junta forces and police who gave up were located at the police compound in the Mindat district and township, and they arrived with their families.

In a related attempt to seize Falam Town, the Chin Brotherhood assaulted and took control of the Construction Department, General Administration Office, and Hospital Hill, where the junta forces and police from the Falam District Police Office and the Falam Township Police Station were stationed. 

In the fight for Falam Town, 45 junta troops and police officers gave themselves up, along with their arms, on November 12, 2024. 

The statement additionally clarified that the successful acquisition of these positions was achieved due to the unwavering assault of the Chin Brotherhood and their allied forces, in spite of the ongoing airstrikes and artillery bombardments from the terrorist junta forces. 

The Chin Brotherhood has promised to continue its intense assault until all remaining terrorist junta military bases in Mindat Town and Falam Town are completely seized. They also vowed to persist in their struggle against the terrorist regime, alongside their allied troops, aiming to remove the junta forces from Chin State.
