Beheaded bodies of 2 Buthidaung residents recovered

Two missingmale residents of  Buthidaung were recovered after they were killed andburied by the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) terrorist outfit on 10October, said a statement issued by the Arakan Army (AA).

 

“The bodiesof two civilians, who went missing from Ywar Thit of number 2 ward inButhidaung locality of the Arakan region, were found beheaded and buried by theARSA Muslim rebels," added the statement.

 

The victimsare  identified as U San Shwe Maung (67)  and U Maung Mya Aung (65).Their

bodies wererecovered  from the yard of a house in  Gone Nar (Muslim) villageunder Buthidaung township, at around 7:40 am on 10 October.

 

A jointteam consisting of the Arakan People's Revolutionary Government, department oflaw enforcement & public security (DLEPS) forces, administrative staff andforensic personnel excavated both the bodies. After completing necessaryinspections, the bodies were reburied following necessary rituals.

 

"Familymembers of both the victims properly reburied the bodies close to the sitewhere they were traced," added the statement.

 

Now the AAfighters are actively chasing the ARSA rebels  who killed both theinnocent villagers.

 

In anotherincident on 6 October, the ARSA rebels  ambushed a civilian vehicle whichwas returning from the market in northern Maungdaw and it resulted in the deathof an Arakanese woman and injuries to four others.

 

On 7October at around 1:30 pm, they ambushed three AA fighters, who were lookingfor the Buthidaung victims. One AA fighter was killed and two others sustainedinjuries.

 

Earlier,the ARSA rebels arrested four individuals, including three teenagers, who wentmissing while fishing on 30 September in Kaing Gyi (Mro) village located insouthern Maungdaw township, revealed the villagers.

 

The missingindividuals include U Saing Win (45), his two sons namely Maung Lin Gyi (15)& Maung Ah Mun (12) and his nephew Maung D Kaw (14), all of whom belong tothe Mro community.

 

They wentfishing at Let Wae creek in Mayu mountains in the morning hours and did notreturn to the village.

 

Whilesearching for them in the area, the AA fighters witnessed a small ARSA camp andthey burned it down on 4 October.
