Military junta invites ethnic resistance organizations to solve political problems

The military junta has extended an invitation tovarious ethnic resistance organizations along with the People's Defense Force(PDF) to address political problems through the political means.

 

On 26 September, the information team of the StateAdministration Council issued an official statement  announcing thisinvitation.


The invitation highlights that individuals and organizations opting for armedand terror attacks, rather than addressing political problems throughdialogues, have caused significant losses to national human resources,infrastructure, people's lives and wealth, while also hindering the stabilityand development of Myanmar.

 

Furthermore, the invitation urges ethnic armedorganizations, terrorist rebel outfits and PDF groups involved in the conflictto abandon the armed attacks. They are encouraged to solve political issuesthrough political means, such as party politics or elections, in order tocollaborate with the people towards achieving a lasting peace and development.

 

The State Administration Council is steadfastlyworking towards the ultimate goal of its five-point roadmap, which aims toconduct a free & fair multi-party engaged general elections and transferstate power to the newly elected government, added the statement.

 

Additionally, the statement mentioned thatpreparations for the national election are currently being made with fullefforts and the population & household census to ensure the accuracy of thevoter-list for the election will begin on 1 October.
