Junta’s airstrikes on Kyeintali church kill 11 including 2 children, injure 11 others

The juntaforces conducted an airstrike on a church in Kyeintali town of  Gwatownship in Arakan State that killed 11 people including two children andinjured  11 others.

 

The victimsare identified as Ma Nyein Yati (12), Maung Hla Min Tun (15), Daw Hla San (30),Daw Nyunt Tin (63), Ko Pyae Phyo Aung (29),  U Kyaw Sein (63), Daw Kyu KyuWin (61), U Min Tun Thein (38),  Ma Zin Myo Tun (21), Daw Hla Hla Win (65)and Daw Khin Moe Wai (37).


They allhailed  from ward number  2 in Kyeintali urban area.

 

The injuredindividuals include  Daw Khin La Pyae, Daw May Myint, Nant Thar Phyu, EiShwe Zin, Daw Ci Ci, Daw Khin Hla, U Tin Ohn, Tin Zaw Htwe, Shin Mway La, KhinZaw Htwe and Maung Win Tin. The residents reported that the airstrike wasconducted at around 1  pm on 15 August.

 

Themilitary junta is now deliberately targeting civilian areas in the Arakanregion with airstrikes. 

 

On 10August, a jet fighter attacked the Mrauk-U hotel intersection along the road toShaitthaung temple in Kyet Zay ward of Mrauk-U, which resulted in the death ofsix civilians and injuries to many others.
