The Arakan Army(AA) members provide food and shelter to Muslim internally displacedpersons (IDPs) recently fled from Maungdaw township of Arakan State.
These photographsshow the AA is assisting Muslim residents, who were evacuated on 11 August fromseveral villages & wards in Maungdaw locality. These areas include Ka NyinTan, Bo Hmue, wards 1, 2 & 5, Phay Zi, Aye Ta Li Yar, Har Bi, Shwe Zar (ZayDi Pyin) and Kat Pa Kaung.
The AA providesassistance to all people living in the Arakan region regardless of their races,religions or status. According to the local residents, the opportunity for allethnic groups to participate equally in the local governance resultedin greater harmony and mutual understanding among them in theAA-controlled areas.
