Six Maungdaw concrete bridges destroyed by junta’s mine attacks

The junta forces destroyed six more  concrete bridges in Maungdaw township, located along the western border of Arakan State, on Thursday using mine attacks.

 

A local resident informed Narinjara News that two bridges in Mawyawadi, two in Myin Hlut and two in Ah Lel Than Kyaw  were destroyed in mine attacks conducted by the junta-trained Muslims and soldiers on 13 June.

 

Intense fighting continues in Maungdaw, as the Arakha Army fighters are targeting Na Khaung To and Pa Din camps since early morning of 13 June.


The  junta soldiers are conducting airstrikes and firing artillery shells as well as small arms to defend their bases.

 

The destroyed structures of Maungdaw locality include Pann Zin Maw bridge, Hla Baw Zar bridge, 3-mile bridge, Mawyawadi bridge, Myin Hlut bridge and Ah Lel Than Kyaw bridge.

 

On 11 June, the junta soldiers from Taungup destroyed Shwe Kun San bridge, located around eight miles away from the town.

 

During the six months long conflict in Rakhine State, the junta soldiers are facing defeats in many battles and they are destroying the bridges which are otherwise very useful for the residents.  As of 14 June, approximately 20 bridges were destroyed by the junta forces.
