203 international Arakanese communities and alliancenationalities strongly condemned the Myanmar military for committing warcrimes, particularly the mass killing of civilians in Byine Phyu village under Sittwe township of Arakan State.
They also urged the United Nations, ASEAN and the international communityto take effective action against the military junta.
A statement, issued on 7 June, said that amilitary column the Tatmadaw and State Administration Council (SAC) raided SetYoe Kya Byine Phyu village on 29 May and committed crimes against humanity andgenocide, including inhuman mass killings of more than 70 civilians, destroyingsome bodies and gang-raping & killing of women.
The Arakanese organizations worldwide, along with thebrotherhood alliance of nationalities, strongly condemn the perpetrators of thesenseless and violent mass murder. They also demand justice and effectivepunishment for those murderers, said the statement.
It expressed grief over the victims and bereavedfamilies due to the loss of innocent lives because of senseless killings andmentioned that Arakanese organizations across the world will provide emergencyassistance to the affected families.
The statement also indicated that war crimes, crimesagainst humanity and genocide continue to be perpetrated by the army, navy andair force personnel through the bombing on Arakanese towns &villages, shelling and targeting innocent civilians.
The global Arakanese communities along with alliancesdemand that the UN and ASEAN should expel Myanmar, which is run by the juntaforces and it continues violating international laws and the UN charter,asserted the statement.
