The junta forces on 31 May arrested four Arakanese youths, including former Arakan National Party (ANP) youth leaderKo Khin Win Maung (aka Ko Gambarri) from his residence in Yangon.
Ko Gambarri and three youths werepicked up by junta soldiers during a night search in Hlaing township of Yangon, the formal capital city of Burma.
"We're still looking for the details. Ko Gambarri wasarrested with three others who lived with him in the same house," said ANPchairman U Thar Tun Hla.
Though Ko Gambarri did not maintain his registration with the ANP,he remains active in the party activities.
A female Arakanese social activist from Yangon also confirmed thearrest of four youths and mentioned about theongoing investigation into those arrests.
