The Peace Sangha Union (PSU) issued a statementcondemning the collaboration between the junta forces and Muslim terrorists incommitting war crimes like arson and killings in Buthidaung town of RakhineState. It also criticized unfounded blames put on the Arakha Army (AA) andspreading of misinformation as well as propaganda to the internationalcommunity.
The PSU spokesperson Sayadaw stressed on avoiding unnecessary religious andethnic conflicts while combating the common enemy that is the military junta.
"Religious and ethnic conflicts are beingmanipulated by the junta as a tool. In Buthidaung and Maungdaw towns, theMuslim groups are being exploited both in political and military contexts toescalate the conflict. This manipulation has led to a misunderstanding aboutthe revolution. There are misconceptions regarding the AA as well. We need tobe aware that ethnic conflicts will intensify and the revolution may bedestroyed if we forget the dictators, who are our common enemy," saidSayadaw, a spokesperson for the PSU.
In the statement titled ‘Stop the brutal activities of the military junta andterrorist Muslims’, the PSU criticized the military for training andarming Muslim civilians in Buthidaung locality.
It also asserted that the military junta isinstigating terror activities among Muslims, deliberately fuelling ethnicconflicts and riots between Muslims and Arakanese in Buthidaung and Maungdawtowns.
"The junta forces are collaborating with terrorist Muslims, engaging inwar crimes like arson and killings in Buthidaung town. They are alsodisseminating false information and propaganda to the international communityby putting blame on the AA. So the PSU condemns the despicable anddisgraceful actions of the military junta and its allied terror Muslimgroups," added the statement.
