Many  IDPcamps in Rakhine State are now facing food shortages due to the lack ofdomestic and foreign assistance.

An officialfrom Minbya  IDP camp stated that there were days when the displacedpersons in certain villages had to eat one meal with half of  rice grains.

"Livelihoodis very difficult here. Many  people are starving as they are not gettingassistance," added the official.

After they encountereddifficulties, a group offered them support in the form of roughly 60,000 Kyats, but this sum is insufficient to provide displaced people with enough food on adaily basis.
