Currently, the AA fighters are engaged in strategicbattles against the 550th light infantry battalion, which is the sole battalionof Ponnagyun, situated 21 miles away from Sittwe.
"The AA fighters continue engaging instrategic battles against the military camps, tactical operation command bases,battalions and division headquarters in Rathedaung, Buthidaung, Maungdaw andPonnagyun townships,” said a statement issued by the AA.
It also added that offensives are being carriedout continuously to complete the capture of various junta camps.
The AA fighters are also fighting against number 9advanced training school near Kanni village under Minbya township.
They launched intense attacks on the training schoolfrom 18 to 22 February.
The military bases in Sittwe, Ponnagyun,Rathedaung and Buthidaung townships went on firing artillery shells on thetowns and villages.
The junta also conducted airstrikes on Ramreelocality using jet fighters and Y12 aircrafts at around 5 pm on Friday.
As the AA fighters continue its offensive ondesignated operational targets and maintain its effort to capture theremaining camps.
The statement indicated that the AA will continue pursuingthe defined military objectives and escalate operations depending on themilitary response.
