The number of captured camps is 17 in PaletwaTownship, 6 in Buthidaung Township, 62 in Maungdaw Township, 1 in SittweTownship, 7 in Kyauktaw Township, 3 in Mrauk-U Township, 4 in RathedaungTownship, 3 in Ponna Kyunt Township, 6 in Pauktaw Township, 5 in MinbyaTownship, 4 in Myebon Township, 3 in Ann Township, 7 in Kyaukphyu Township, 4in Yanbye (Ramree) Township, 2 in Taungup Township, and 3 in Thandwe Township.
Among these bases are strategically importantlocations such as the Tarawaingtactical operation command base, the Nonebu tactical operation command base,and the Myeik Wa-based military camp, situated near the Indian border.
It also involves 62 camps in the northernsection of Maungdaw Township, located in close proximity to the border withBangladesh, and among them are strategically important military bases.
It also consists of 3 camps from ThandweTownship in the far south of Rakhine State, along with 2 camps from TaungupTownship.
In Rakhine State, the conflict began onNovember 13 when the Arakan Army (AA) attacked two border guard outposts alongthe Ah Ngu Maw-Maungdaw road in the southwest of Rathedaung Township.
