Tin Nilar Aung (aka Mee Nge), the userof facebook account ‘NilarAung’, was arrested by the military council onWednesday from Zay Taung wardin Ann townshipof Rakhine State.

The military-run Myanmar Alinnewspaper reported that the facebookuser was arrested by 3:45pm on 6 December. Thesocial media user was accused of engagingin incitement and propaganda against thenation creating disturbances in peace andstability of the country.

In recent days, a number of Rakhinenationals have been arrested by the militarycouncil for criticizing the juntaforces on social media. They have been accusedof spreading wrong news with the intentionto create public disorder.

Earlier two individuals including a womanwere arrested from Sittwe and theyhave been charged undersection 505-A.

The arrested individuals are KoKyaw Naing Lin from Lanmadaw (north)ward andMa Saw Khin Aye (aka Ah Bu) from Ye Nwe Su ward in Sittwe township.

Lately, the junta forces have beenengaging in various inhuman actionsviolating human rights of Rakhine people.

The army, navy, and air force personnel have been using artilleryshells and continuous firing. Even the Rakhine-based media outlets have alsobeen targeted by the military council for reportingagainst the violations committed by junta soldiers.
