A battle broke out between the junta forces andPeople's Defense Force (PDF) members in Paletwa township of Chin State on 4November. During the gun fighting, a village woman was hit by a piece of shelland she sustained injuries.

They clashed near Bhawa village, which is about fivemiles away from Sami town, at around 7:00 am on Saturday.

There is an army camp in Bhawa village and it wasattacked by PDF members. The fighting continued till 9 am, said the localresidents.

During the fighting, a large weapon was exploded whichinjured a lady. The mother of a child was taken to Sami hospital with hipinjuries, added the locals.

A Sami village resident informed that the injury tothe woman was not serious.

However, she was brought from Paletwa to Sittwegeneral hospital for better medical attention.

Locals have no idea whichgroup fired the ammunition. The Paletwaresidents are now worriedabout the conflicts in their localities once again.
