Themilitary council troops, stationed in Khaya Taung mountain of Kachin State,attacked the camps of Arakan Army (AA) on 29 September. It was the repeatedattack on AA members at KIA Laiza headquarters with heavy weapons.
Earlier on 28 September, the Khaya Taung mountain based junta forces attacked theAA camps in Mon Lai Khat with heavy weapons.
Duringthe attack, an AA captain was killed and some others were injured. They firedagain with heavy weapons on AA camps.
"Thearmy's attack was intentional,” said a person close to AA.
Speakingto Narinjara News, he also informed that there was no injury to any individualbecause of shooting.
Regardingthe attack, AA spokesperson U Khaing Thukha stated that if the provocationcontinues towards ULA/AA, they will also respond with stern actions.
"Acease fire is in place across Rakhine State. So in such a situation, the attackon AA bases is very unfortunate. This kind of activity will deteriorate thetrust gained after the ceasefire. It should be avoided and the Burmese armymust take the initiative," he asserted.
