AA provides special combat training to student armed force



The Arakan Army (AA) has given a special combat training to student armed force, which was formed after the military coup in  Myanmar.

The graduation ceremony was held on 28 August at the student union headquarter, said a statement issued  on 30 August by the union.

60 participants attended the course, out of them  58 were able to graduate following the  training.

During the ceremony, the soldiers graduated after the course saluted the officials of  Student Union Army, where the AA leaders made speeches.

Officials from various allied forces also attended the ceremony. The officers and military personnel were present on the occasion.

In response to the 2021 Burmese military coup, the members of the Yangon-based University Student’s Union (Takatha - Yangon) formed the student armed force on 27 April 2021 with 22 leaders which was supported by the AA.

The group has received basic military training in the AA liberated areas of Rakhine State. The AA  provided the military training to the armed outfits including the student armed force, which emerged during the Spring Revolution.
