Powerful cyclone Mokha arrived 135miles away from Sittwe over the Bay ofBengal by 7:30 am onSunday, said Myanmar meteorological and hydrologydepartment in its announcement.
The storm is classified with red level, and the maximum wind speed is assumed to be 125 to 135 miles perhour.
It may cross the Rakhine coast by this morning, and the storm is expected to make landfall in Cox'sBazar (of Bangladesh) and Kyauk Phyuin Myanmar by the afternoon hours.
It is estimated that it may cross Sittwe and then proceed towards Kyauk Phyu and Cox's Bazar, said themeteorological and hydrology departmentreport.
Then it may continue moving towards north & northeast of Chin State, Magway region, Sagaing region andKachin State.
Both the authorities in Rakhine State (Arakkha government led by Arakan Army and the Myanmar militarycouncil have alerted the people aboutMocha in advance.
