Mrs Ethnic Tourism 2023, the beauty pageant for married women, has beenorganized by AKYAB STAR Sittwe, the Rakhine capital city.
The grand final show is scheduled for Saturday (28 January) at the lawn ofAryan restaurant, which is located at the bank of Kaladan river.
AKYAB STAR founder Ko San Tha informed Narinjara News that nine contestants wereshortlisted from the competition among the married couples and they have beenattending the camp at Strand hotel in Sittwe since 23 January.
The married women contestants hail from Naypyi Taw, Tachilek, Mandalay, MraukU, Sittwe and Ann localities.
“Mrs Ethnic Tourism 2023 is a platform designed to expand the tourism activitiesamong various ethnic people of Myanmar. The show proves that the married womenare not just living with their children and other family members, but they canshow their skill when needed,” said San Tha.
It was also declared that the winner would get Kyats five million along withthe crown.
"There were around 20 married beauty women from several localities in theinitial stage. Out of them, we have selected nine contestants for the final,”he added.
