As many as 18 old bombs, which were understandablyused by the British soldiers during Second World War,were found in Buthidaung, 80 miles north of Rakhine Statecapital city of Sittwe.
An older resident say the British forces opened amilitary camp at the place, stated the media outlet ButhidaungTownship News.
Those were found in a pit behind theMyanmar telecommunications corporation staff-housing line on9 September as U MyoNyein, the communications officer, and worker AduRoman were cleaning the area.
The size of a bomb is around 2 feet in lengthand 11 inches in diameter. The police have sent the old bombs toButhidaung military strategy command office.
