A two day India-Myanmar Media Dialogue has been organized at Shillong of northeast India next month. The media meet, organized by the New Delhi based Institute of Social Sciences in collaboration with Heinrich Böll Foundation and Burma Centre Delhi on 20- 21 April 2016 will be hosted by Meghalaya capital based Asian Confluence.
“The objective of organizing this dialogue is to bring Indian and Burmese media under one platform to strengthen relations and share their experiences and best practices,” said Alana Golmei, director of Burma Centre Delhi.
The primary focus of the event will be New Delhi’s Act East Policy wherein the northeastern region constitutes the main stakeholder.
The greater exchange of media persons between the two countries is expected to result in better networking and comprehension of each other’s problems, priorities and objectives.
