ANP seeks nominations for Minbya representatives

Minbya, December 19:

Minbya-signboardArakan National Party (ANP) has invited nominations for candidates who are interested in contesting Parliamentary polls scheduled for next year. The ANP is expecting all the nominations by December 31, said a party source.

“We have released a statement on December 2 asking nominations from them, who want to contest in three Parliamentary constituencies in Minbya township. The last date has been fixed on 31 December 2014,” said U Tha Kyaw, the State Parliament representative from Minbya constituency.

There are three vacant seats in the State and National Parliament from Minbya township, he added.

“We are expecting that the next election would be conducted by the early part of 2015. Therefore we are seeking the nominations for party candidates little earlier,” disclosed U Tha Kyaw.

The political analysts believe that more and more people would like be the candidates for the polls as the Union Parliament has recently agreed to enhance the salary of the representatives up to one million Kyats per month.
